FISH Expands its Pantry!
FISH’s recent pantry expansion was made possible by the support, assistance and donations from of a cast of community stakeholders including:
- The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven – thank you for the financial support that made this project possible!
- John DeGrand and Son, Inc. – thank you for helping us move our heavy commercial freezers!
- United Way & University of New Haven Day of Community Service – thank you for helping us reconfigure our entire pantry!
- Ana Sirota with the NKBA – thank you for organizing our volunteers who reconfigured the pantry following your expert guidance in layout and workflow.
This project enabled FISH to expand cold storage capacity by 35% and increase volunteer packing stations by 50%. This is how FISH serves over 460 households, comprised of 800+ individuals, every month. We’re a lean, mean feeding machine!
