In order to serve over 900 homebound individuals with grocery deliveries every month, FISH relies on the generous support of the community. FISH graciously accepts gifts of people’s time, talent, and money in support of our mission.

To help, you can:

  • Send a financial contribution. We are able to stretch your dollars by acquiring food for a minimal handling fee from the Connecticut Food Bank, as well as accepting food donations on an ongoing basis.
  • Donate food items. If you are interested in organizing a food drive to benefit FISH, please reach out to Jill Meyerhoff at jmeyerhoff@fishgnh.org to learn more and to schedule a drop-off time.
  • Think of us at Thanksgiving! Each Thanksgiving, FISH relies upon the contributions of community volunteers to provide clients with a special Thanksgiving delivery. For more information,

Testimonials

  • “…your help just made so much difference when I was trying to heal from the stroke. Because of FISH we had enough food in the house and I wasn’t stressed out trying to figure out how to find someone to bring us enough groceries.” Christina S,

    I don’t need FISH any more…
  • “I wanted to say this is the best food bank I’ve ever been (sic) involved with. The rolls are so fresh, I’m thankful. I wanted to reach out to say that I’m grateful – the vegetables, fresh, the fruit – thank you.” Joseph W.

    “Thank you”
  • I was the victim of an automobile accident while crossing a major boulevard.  I was in critical condition after a series of surgeries and am currently disabled. My Case Worker referred me to FISH. My daughter (who has special needs) and I have been enjoying the support for a little more than a year.  What a great support FISH has been to us.

    Pearlie T.
  • I have serious health issues and my husband is living with heart disease. Our family has been receiving FISH services for more than ten years. My teen age children and the whole rest of the family enjoy the fine selection of food we receive from FISH. Many thanks to FISH for their compassionate work.

    Kathleen
  • I have been a FISH client for 15 years.  During that time, I have seen FISH’s quality of services continue to grow and expand.  For example, the quality of groceries, including  the frozen meat and produce are commendable.. Keep up the good work!
